Bailey H. Schmiedeler

Associate Attorney

Bailey Schmiedeler was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Kansas State University in 2018 where she served in the Kansas State Student Governing Association and was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. She then went on to receive her Juris Doctorate Degree from Washburn University School of Law in 2021. While at Washburn, she clerked for a criminal defense law firm and served as an intern for the City of Topeka Prosecutor’s Office.

 

After law school, Ms. Schmiedeler went on to work as an Assistant District Attorney for the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office where she prosecuted traffic and criminal offenses. As a prosecutor she obtained invaluable knowledge of the inside workings of a prosecutor’s office in addition to voluminous courtroom experience.

 

Ms. Schmiedeler joined Penner Lowe Law Group in March of 2023 and practices in the areas of Criminal Defense, Juvenile Defense, and Civil Litigation. Since joining Penner Lowe, she has had the privilege of working on several criminal cases spanning a variety of severities and complexities. She takes pride in advocating for her clients and protecting their Constitutional Rights from government infringement. She is a fierce proponent of rehabilitation over incarceration for clients dealing with mental health and substance abuse disorders.

 

Ms. Schmiedeler is thankful for her decision to move to Wichita and has enjoyed becoming immersed in the legal community here as well as surrounding counties. Ms. Schmiedeler is a member of the Kansas and Wichita Bar Associations.

 

In her free time, Ms. Schmiedeler enjoys spending time with her husband and son, cooking for friends and family, and taking her golden retriever on walks.
