Collaborative Family Law (CFL):

Penner Lowe Law Group - A Peaceful Approach to Divorce

At Penner Lowe Law Group, we understand that not every divorce needs to be a courtroom battle. Attorneys Jeffrey N. Lowe, Candice Farha, Lucy Hesse, and Ashley A. Davis are collaboratively trained family law attorneys, and are proud to offer to their practice areas Collaborative Family Law or CFL, which is a respectful, dignified, and forward-thinking approach to resolving family law matters without litigation.

Also referred to as a “no-court divorce,” “peaceful divorce,” or “divorce with dignity,” Collaborative Family Law is a structured process that allows both parties to work through their divorce outside of the courtroom. Each spouse is represented by their own specially trained attorney, and together, all four individuals commit to resolving matters through a series of four-way meetings, and not through contested hearings.

The heart of Collaborative Family Law is client empowerment. The process centers on transparency, interest-based negotiation, and informed decision-making. All participants sign a Participation Agreement at the outset, which commits both attorneys to withdraw from representation if the case is later taken to court. Stated differently, an agreement that underscores everyone's commitment to a cooperative resolution.

The Collaborative Family Law roadmap includes:

  • Focusing on the interests and needs of both parties

  • Gathering and sharing information necessary to make informed decisions

  • Exploring a range of creative options for resolution

  • Selecting solutions that best support the family’s future

At Penner Lowe Law Group, we believe that families deserve compassionate, customized legal strategies that support long-term well-being. Collaborative Family Law allows our clients to move forward with clarity, control, and confidence.
